In celebration of International Women's Day, the Women's Opportunity Network will hold their first Lifestyles Fair at Monmouth College on Friday, March 7 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. in the Huff Athletic Center. Over 50 exhibits on health, beauty, fitness, fashion, financial services and business resources for women. Massages, mini-manicures, product samples and demonstrations will be available for participants at no additional cost. During the fair, participants will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to benefit the Warren County ATHENA Award. The raffle prizes will consist of products and services donated by exhibitors. The Lifestyles fair will kick off at 2:00 p.m. with the keynote speech from K.L. Daly, Illinois ATHENA International, State Director. At 3:00 p.m. Dr. Popela, OSF Holy Family Medical Center will speak on Women's Health Issues. At 4:00 p.m. Dr. Trudy Peterson will present a speech on effective conflict management for women. Rounding off the event, will be Shirley Camp, University of Illinois Extension, speaking on nutrition and diet for professional women. A Yoga and Pilates demonstration will take place at 3:30, presented by the Warren County YMCA. At 4:30 Lianna Ita from Galesburg's Inner Wisdom bookstore will present, Reiki Relaxation Techniques. At 5:30, Kurt Allen and Mary Schuytema of Monmouth will be demonstrating self defense techniques for women.
