Event Description:
The "Miss Marigold" Pageant began in 1973 and continues to be a highlight of the Pekin Marigold Festival celebration.  It is an opportunity for young women to compete in the categories of talent, personal interview, sportswear, and evening gown in order to win scholarship money.  The pageant is open to single women who are 17-21 years old and who live or work in the city of Pekin.
