July 4th Honor America Celebration sponsored by Timbercreek Rehab & Health Care

One of the largest fireworks displays in the area is slated for this year’s July 4th Honor America Celebration at Pekin Memorial Stadium, brought to you by Timbercreek Rehab & Health Care.  This will be the 62nd year the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce has sponsored the fireworks event, which will be held Saturday July 4th, with a rain date of Sunday July 5th.  The program will feature unique ground pieces viewable only from inside the stadium, and more than 700 ariels.  Gates open at 6:00pm  Before the fireworks begin, those in the stadium will enjoy local bands and other entertainment. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin around 9:15 pm.

 

Donations for entry into the stadium will be $5.00 for adults - $1.00 for children 6-12 and children 5 and under are free.  Current military personnel showing proper ID  will also be admitted free. No coolers will be allowed inside the stadium, however blankets and lawn chairs are allowed on the field.  Food, Pepsi, and glow necklaces will be sold.  All proceeds will help offset the cost of the fireworks.
