Job Description

Position Objective: The Claim Support position is responsible for typing dictation and handling production work for the Claim department.

Responsibilities:

  • Photocopying and faxing Indexing mail
  • Archiving and transcribing statements
  • Enters statistical information in Mainframe
  • Entering and printing draft payments in the mainframe
  • Ordering police reports
  • Completing titles and applying for salvage titles
  • Learning appropriate Mainframe searches to index mail and faxes
  • Importing e-mails (Alpha)
  • Answering phone calls for all claim personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent office experience
  • General office experience helpful 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of calculators, typewriters, and computers; including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize and learn quickly.
  • Excellent filing, bookkeeping, recording and computational skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member and follow directions.
  • Skilled at labeling, preparing, parsing, copying and mentoring.
  • Ability to use correct grammar and punctuation.
  • Answering phone calls for all claim personnel
