YWCA Pekin is a proud provider of American Red Cross       

First Aid/CPR/AED training.

 

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. This course teaches the participant the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decided whether advance medical care is needed.

The certification, which includes Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED training, is valid for two years upon completion and is accepted nationwide. 

This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least age 15
  • Attend and participate in class session.
  • Must complete online learning prior to class start
  • Attend and participate in class session.
  • Complete all eLearning units.
  • Demonstrate competency in all required skills, activities, and final rescue scenarios.
  • Pass First Aid, CPR, and AED final written exam with a minimum grade of 80%.
