Pekin's 1st, a committee of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, has scheduled a candidates forum. The following candidates have all been invited:
18th US Congretional seat, Deirdre DK hirner, Sheldon Schafer, and incumbent Aaron Schock
91st Illinois Representative seat, incumbent Michael K. Smith and Michael D. Unes
10th Circuit Judge, John P Vespa and Christopher J Spanos
Tazewell County Sheriff, Ron Davis and incumbent Robert Huston
Tazewell County Treasurer, Mary Burress and Monica Connett
Each candidate will be given 3 minutes at the microphone to introduce themselves to the audience. There will not be any questions asked of the cadidates. However, the candidates have been encouraged to arrive early and stay late to meet with voters.
