Speaker: Keli Krueger-Huha Description: What is the first step to winning a government contract? Reading and Understanding the Solicitation! Understanding Solicitations should be considered the most important step in the acquisition process. All aspects prior to proposal submission are based on this important task. So why do we address everything else and treat Understanding Solicitations as an afterthought? Before you expend resources towards a proposal writing effort, it is imperative to understand what the government needs and expects from a successful offeror(s) (i.e. scope of work, special contract requirements, evaluation criteria, proposal submission instructions, performance metrics, solicitation provisions/contract clauses, etc.). Join us as we review the structure of a solicitation, issued by a federal agency, and receive best practices and tips for proposal preparation along the way. This presentation elevates this important decision point. Learning Objectives: 1.Acquisition Planning Process Overview ?Learning the “rules of the road” 2.Key Elements of a Government Contract 3.How the Agency Describes Needs 4.Evaluate the relationship between the government solicitation and contractor proposal 5.Understand Evaluation Criteria Our Speaker: Ms. Krueger-Huhra has 28 years of progressive career growth in automotive manufacturing integrating Procurement and Supply with the organization’s strategic objectives.
