Event Description:
YWCA Pekin invites you to be a part of its 38th annual Women’s Recognition Day luncheon to be held at noon, Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Pekin Country Club.
Women’s Recognition Day sets aside a special day to honor the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of women in their careers and community service. Additionally, this event provides an employer the opportunity to socially recognize his/her employees in a manner outside of normal business practice and channels.
This recognition inspires women and girls to consider and prepare for a wider range of career opportunities and stimulates an increased awareness of their abilities by all members of our community.
Organizations and businesses represented will be listed in the luncheon program if paid reservations are received by Friday, April 19, 2019.
Achievement awards will be presented to women demonstrating outstanding contributions in the following areas:
Arts, Business, Professions, Sports, Outstanding Employee, and Community Service.
In addition, Tazewell County Schools have been invited to select and bring one outstanding young woman of their choice to be honored at the luncheon.
